Dr. Rasha Abbas

Dr. Rasha Abbas is a Psychiatry Consultant at HealthPlus Diabetes & Endocrinology Center. Her primary clinical interests include anxiety and mood disorders, smoking cessation, and perinatal psychiatry. She is dedicated to a holistic, patient-centered approach that integrates biological, psychological, and social factors to achieve comprehensive and personalized mental health care.

Dr. Rasha has extensive experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, obsessive–compulsive disorder, ADHD, schizophrenia, addiction disorders, and perinatal mental health conditions. Prior to relocating to Abu Dhabi, she held the position of Consultant Psychiatrist at the National Health Service in Scotland.

She has been actively involved in medical education and community awareness throughout her career, serving as a clinical supervisor, examiner, and lead tutor for medical students in Scotland. She also held an academic appointment as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Dundee.

Dr. Rasha completed her core psychiatry training at Charing Cross Hospital in London, followed by higher specialist training in Scotland. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych) and holds the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Psychiatry with an Endorsement in Addiction Psychiatry. She has also obtained a Certificate in the Management of Substance Misuse from the Royal College of General Practitioners, Scotland.
