Dr. Nada Wael AlMahmeed

Dr. Nada Wael AlMahmeed is a Specialist in Endocrinology at HealthPlus. She has extensive clinical experience in endocrinology, diabetes care, metabolic health, and internal medicine. Dr. Nada specialises in managing type 1 and type 2 diabetes, obesity, thyroid conditions, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and other complex hormonal and metabolic conditions. She is also experienced in using advanced diabetes technologies, including continuous glucose monitoring.

Dr. Nada earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Obstetrics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Bahrain. She completed her internship and Internal Medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, followed by advanced fellowship training in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of British Columbia, Canada. She is a Subspecialist Affiliate of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and has completed the Royal College examination in Endocrinology and Metabolism, as well as Parts I and II of the Arab Board examinations.

Dr. Nada has contributed to the training and supervision of Endocrinology fellows and Internal Medicine residents through clinical teaching, academic presentations, journal clubs, and departmental rounds. She has also participated in research and scientific presentations related to type 1 diabetes, diabetes camps, thyroid emergencies, and cardiovascular diagnostic testing, in addition to contributing to published medical case reports.

Before joining HealthPlus, Dr. Nada completed her Endocrinology and Metabolism Fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Canada. Dr. Nada speaks Arabic and English.
